I love Lush. Every Lush product I’ve used has been a delight, everything is cruelty free, and the scents and colours of each item are heavenly. If I had more money I would surely give it all to Lush.
Sadly for me (and for Lush I guess) I like to be careful with my budget, with the occasional treat. I popped in to Lush last week when I was hanging out with a friend from university, and I knew it was time to treat myself. I came away with a few goodies and now I’ve trialled them all, I can safely say I am thrilled with my purchases.
The first thing I bought was the Sleepy body lotion. I’ve read only amazing things about this and its companion body spray, Twilight. It’s a lavender and oatmeal body lotion that you apply before bed (I put it on my décolleté, shoulders and neck) and it helps you get a more restful night. Oh my stars, this smells INCREDIBLE. It obviously smells like lavender, but when applied I think it smells like gingerbread. Yum. I can’t vouch for its sleep-aiding qualities as I am pretty good at sleeping, but I travel a lot for work and always struggle to sleep in a different bed, so I will definitely be packing this with me. I bought the smaller 95g pot of Sleepy which was £7.95.
Mask of Magnaminty was the second thing that went in my basket- a face and body mask with a name that is super hard to say. Again I went for the small pot which was £6.95 for 125g. It’s packed full of great natural ingredients like peppermint oil, honey and ground aduki beans. I got a tester pot of Mask of Magnaminty when I was really stressed at work and my skin was very oily and it was dreamy. It felt fresh and cleansing on my skin without being too harsh or stripping. I love the smell of anything minty so that was also a bonus for me. I’m so glad I have a full size pot now, and I will be using this for pamper evenings at home. Ant loves it too- bonus!
The final Lush product I got recently is the Vanillary solid perfume. Juliette has this and I love the smell so much I wanted a little bit of Vanillary goodness in my life. The solid perfume costs £9 for 6g and is perfect to carry around in your bag without worrying about leakage. This technically wasn’t part of this ‘haul’ as I got it in my stocking for Christmas, but I wanted to include it as I have been loving it. I like to layer it underneath my Body Shop White Musk Smoky Rose perfume as I think the scents complement each other well.
Well, that’s all from me for now! I have loads of ideas for blog posts so will be finding time to get those out soon. If you love Lush (and The Body Shop!) too then let us know. We are all big fans of both and are more than happy to invest in more products all for the sake of blogging…haha. Also just a lil disclaimer- we blog purely for the love of writing and everything mentioned on here was purchased with our own funds. We just really love Lush.
